Trekking begins again

It all started at 6 A.M. in the morning. We drove down to Pune’s very own Sinhagad for a quick trek. An early morning drive or actually a race against the rising sun was a beautiful way to start a Saturday. The calm waters of Khadakwasla dam were welcoming as we drove by.
And then in about 50 minutes we were at the foot hills of the mighty Sinhagad. We started climbing with the hopes that rain gods would shower us with their blessings. But I guess Saturday morning was too early even for gods to answer prayers!
An exhilarating climb with the sun shining bright! A challenge that got better with ever step. Thousands have trodden these paths and yet the path seemed unharmed. That's beauty of it.
Tired and exhausted, yet energized in mind, we reached the top! The mountains, valleys and the whooshing wind! Truly a place to hear the air!
Oh and there was always the best lime juice, buttermilk, curds, and local snacks available to pep us. 'Commercialization' we call it when we don't want it . But this time, I really enjoyed all that was given!
